ፈሳሲ ሽፋን

ሓፊስ ፈሳሲ (mucus) ዘለዎ ኣዝዩ ረቂቕ ቆርበት (membrane)። ውሽጢ ኣፍ፣ ኣንፊ መትሎ፣ ርሕሚ፣ መሃንቱስን ማህጸንን ካልኦትን ይሽፍን። ገለ ቫይረሳትን ባክቴርያታትን ብሙከስ መምብሬን ጌይሮም ብቐሊሉ ናብ ሰውነት ብምእታው STI ክስዕቡ ይኽእሉ።

Mucous membrane

A very thin layer of skin (membrane) on which there is a thick fluid (mucus). It covers, among others, the inside of the mouth, glans, vagina, anus and uterus. Some viruses and bacteria can easily enter the body through the mucous membrane and can cause an STI.
